one of my close guy friends started dating this girl last year (him and i are juniors in highschool and she is a senior). they were together for 8 months (and she was his first...) until she suddenly broke up with him one day... he was absolutely crushed.

ok so the VERY NEXT DAY after their breakup she hooked up with a senior guy. then about a week later she told my friend all this stuff about how she was wrong, and now they're back together.

but okay so then i find out that for the week she wasn't with him, she hooked up with that senior guy every single day... apparently this other guy didnt want to be anything more than hookup buddies and she couldnt accept that. and now that shes back with my friend, she told the other guy that when they break up she will hookup with him. she is so messed up!! and my guy friend knows abolutely none of this... i feel horrible, idk if i have the heart to tell him. he thinks they're in love! should i just ignore it or what?

What an awful situation to be in.
As a good friend I would find out first to make sure it is the truth. If it is, then yes, I think it is important to gently tell your friend and let him know how you know. IF he is not willing to listen or doesnt accept it as truth then let it be. You did your part and forwarned him. But best to tell him, as painful as it will be, it would be less painful than when the times comes this girl does this to him. He can at least have his guard up if it happens and maybe make the fall a little easier.
If i had a friend that knew and did not tell me, I don't think I would continue the friendship..after all..what are friends for? to be there for one another and protect each other..
tell him

You need to tell your friend what his gf has been up to, it might hurt him now but in the end he'll realise that you're a great friend for looking out for him and his feelings. If he finds out later that you knew but never told him it may seriously damage your friendship with him.

Don't tell him, ever. Let him find out for himself and just be there for him when he does. Being in love can change a person's personality completely. He might not even believe you, or he might and still be with her. He might accuse you of being jealous. Just keep your distance from his personal affairs and be his friend. He WILL need you when it all comes out. And trust me, IT WILL

Give her the chance to do it herself by telling him. If she doesn't tell him, do the right thing then tell him yourself, and be prepared for him to think you're lying (the denial) and then be a shoulder to cry on for a LONG time. He needs to know one way or another.

i think you should tell him because in the end, he will find out anyway and its better to do it before he has to find out on his own.
