Why are women so insecure?

Why are women so insecure? Why do they feel like they need a man in their lives constantly to feel better about themselves? I am not saying all girls, but generally speaking we settle for scum when there are billions of guys who would treat us well?

When Omens oops sorry womens are taken care of they consider men to me immature and when not men are branded insensitive. Women are born critics - their sole ambition is to live for themselves - luckily (or unluckily for them) they find this contradicting with society. No doubt they are the inferior sex.

You sound like a good girl who wants to save a man or has attempted to fix or change somebody. I was the same way. Women don't necessarily feel the need to have a man but it is enjoyable and very normal and natural to want to have a man. There is nothing wrong with that. But when we settle for "scum", for the sake of having somebody, then we need to stop and find out why. THere are always reasons deep inside ourselves produced since birth that mold us and form our thoughts and our lives. Sometimes we settle for reasons of rejection by a man who didn't love us, like our fathers, or somewhere we learned this behavior from a woman we admired, like our mothers. when you realize that you are not happy because the way your man treats you sucks, then you are ready to start finding the reasons why. YOu need to stop dating everybody for a while so that you don't continue making the same mistake. You probably need healing from something and only God will fill every corner of your heart.. No other man, not even the best man on earth can do that. They are all human and are bound to fail. That is the human condition. When you realize that you are loved and you can love yourself, then you will NOT depend on a man's love but will cherish and enjoy it and accept that he will fail once in a while but it won't be the end of you. If you treat yourself like a loved and valued woman, then you will expect that a man treat you the same and if not, better than you thought. May you find what your heart is missing.

I would say the nature of a woman

Just taking a look at a woman its clear that she is much more vulnerable physically to start with especially during pregnancy. This of course over the period of evolution has been a BIG issue so they do appear more insecure but perhaps this is simply more honest. Man are equally insecure did you know men are far less likely to admit to physical, mental or sexual abuse than women? Simply because it would appear "unmanly" to admit having been hurt by a woman in those ways. In many ways you girls have it easy, you can cry and express much easier than men your weaker side while men mostly have to have an excuse of being drunk etc... Before it would be generally accepted. Both sides are equally vicitims to social development however women arent affected by the bull so much. You can get away with simply being human while men have to prove to be something.

Well the reason we settle for scum is because thats what a ton of men are. Most of us are insecure because a man made us this way. Most women have been lied to, cheated on, and have trust issues. We were not born like this though, all of the credit goes to some jerk that has messed with our self esteem and made us this way.

If you can find the book by John and Stasi Eldredge called "Captivating," it will answer alot of those questions.
It comes from the parenting. If the fathers did not fill their little daughters hearts with the love and appreciation that a growing girl requires, she grows up feeling "needy." That she did not have "worth" enought to capture her fathers time and attention. Some get it by the wrong way through incest which is even worst. So these poor souls try to find "males" (real whole men would only want a real whole woman) who are from the same type of background. They use"her" like she will use "him" to complete each other. Two halfs dont make a whole in this case. The two people are pulling from the other, trying to fill that void inside that each is missing.
The only way to get healing/mending is through Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:9) As he said He will make all old things new.

I myself am an ambitious, independent single woman, this question doesnt pertain to me but I do have many friends who think that they need a man in there life to make everything go smoothly. From what i noticed girls settle...they rush into relationships knowing the man is a "scum bag" just so they arent alone. Its pretty sad in my opinion but many women arent confident and choose to be with somebody who isnt right for them bc they are sick of looking...or they are in relationships that arent going well and they stay in the relationships bc they are too lazy to put time and effort into finding someone compatible and someone worth being with! its crazy i tell ya

I THINK THAT MOST WOMEN ARE LIKE THAT BECAUSE THEY WERE MISSING SOMETHING IN THEIR LIFE AND ARE DEPENDENT ON A MAN FOR MANY REASONS. SOME WOMEN ARE TOO NEEDY AND INSECURE BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN HURT SO THEY TEND TO TRY TO KEEP THEM CLOSER. WHEN THEY NEED TO LET IT GO. SOME WOMEN JUST DON'T WANT TO BE ALONE AND WILL TAKE ANYTHING THAT COMES THEIR WAY JUST TO HAVE COMPANIONSHIP. WHICH I THINK IS VERY DUMB AND NAIVE, I FEEL AS THOUGH A MAN CAN ONLY DO ONE THING FOR ME AND THAT'S HAVE SEX WITH ME AND MOST OF THE TIME THEY CAN'T DO THAT RIGHT. ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO MYSELF, SO WHY SETTLE FOR LESS WHEN I DESERVE MORE. I THINK WOMEN SHOULD TAKE A DIFF. APPROACH WITH MEN AND STOP JUST EXCEPTING ANYTHING AND SUFFERING INSTEAD OF BEING HAPPY.

I have this problem everyday, I am an honest hard working handsome guy who is single and cant get a date . . . yet when I start acting like an ****** and a d*ck girls get attracted and start to notice me. Unfortunately thats not my character so I dont do it often, but it just shows that women dont know what they want, they say they want a nice guy but end up with a bad boy because he shows signs of protection where as they feel the nice guy cant supply as well.

If there were a billion guys out there that would treat us well, then where are the hiding? I don't need a man to feel good about who I am, Although it is nice to be appreciated.
The only thing I need to make me feel better about me, is me.
What I do from day to day, or my attitude and how I learn by my mistakes and accept who I am, with all the bad and the good. I am the only one who chooses how I feel about me. No one can make you feel insecure. You choose to feel that way. You choose your feelings and how you want to feel. whether it be sad, happy. insecure or secure. It's all how you view life and yourself.. No one can make you feel bad about yourself unless you let them. We all have free will.

It's biological. Men are hunters. We weren't designed to survive alone. No man=no food= starvation. So we come up with excuses to stay with the scum to avoid dying or being eaten by a mammoth. FIGHT THE MAMMOTH, LADIES!

I'm a guy, I'm insecure and I feel that I need a girl constantly, it just happen that I can't get even one and that's worse than have a scam girl
