Only if they have a very good reason for waiting that long before getting very serious with you such as completing school and getting financially settled so that they can provide you and your future family with a very comfortable lifestyle. However, if they just want you to sit around while they fool around with other people until they're ready then they are not worthy of your time and are pretty much using you as like a backup.
