I will give you the same advice my brother gave me. He was a Seal and I was a CC.

No matter what happens, just remember that your instructors will not let you die, and will do everything in there power to keep you from getting seriously hurt.

That may seem obvious, but people tend to forget that come week 2. There is no reason to ever drop out unless you just don't want it bad enough.

google SEAL PFT, it will tell you what physical fitness test you have to take to even qualify to try for the SEAL program , then google buds training and it will tell you everything that you will have to do while at basic underwater demolition school. I passed the SEAL PFT test in bootcamp in 1980 not even knowing what a SEAL was, but after A school and going to BUDS I was astounded by the demands placed upon the trainees.. I didn't make it, lots don't. It would be the toughest challenge of your life, go for it , if you have what it takes you will be the toughest person around , and even if you don't they will jsut send you to a ship or sqaudron somewhere with the job you went to A school for .. it's no shame to not finish BUDS

Ask your self, "WHY DO I WANT TO BE A NAVY SEAL?"
If the reason is any thing like "I want the title", "It may help me get chicks." Forget it. Those reasons won't be enought to keep you motivated when your mind and/or body want to quit.
You must want to be the baddest MF to wear the Eagle, Musket, Trident, and Anchor.
To get there, become a U.S.Marine, get all the training possible, become a Recon Marine. Then you might have what it takes to become a Navy Seal. At any given time, a majority of SEAL personell are former Recon Marines.

Make sure that you want it, and want it bad... Want it more than anyone else that is applying... You have to want it every single day from today to the end of your career.

Other than that, just look up the requirements to pass the physical aspects of the testing and get training.

It is hardly ever the body that lets people down its usually the mind becuase you have a lot in reserve, this is what they will be looking for, not the most fit, but the most determined, the one that will get the job done no matter what.

There was a program on TV, it was on the history or military channel, I can't remember which. It had to deal with the training of a SEAL team member. I know one thing, you had better be tough both physically and mentally or you will be "ringing the bell" and washing out. Good Luck!

If you are not already in shape get into it and train for it everyday and even then BUDS will kick your *** it has a very high attrition rate but don't be discouraged if you don't make it your first time through many people take as many as three tries to complete and I wish you luck even if I joined the Marines Haha

Just know that if you drop out without a rating, you'll probobly get sent to a ship as a deck seaman, one of the guys that works for me had that happen to him and they made him wait 2 years to get an A-school
