His official dogtags are issued my the US Army. However, if you're looking to send him something sentimental, I purchased a pair of dogtags for my brother from Ebay. They'll engrave whatever you want on them.

Most Post PXs have a place that does them. My post even had a place that put pictures on them. Also, military surplus stores can make them. It depends on what you want it to say. I would look on the internet. But just know that he is only authorized to wear his Id tags and a religious emblem. He may not be able to wear anything else on his dogtag chain, especially while deployed. Some units are very strict about it, others don't care- but it is against regulation.
Walmart does 'pet tags' that you can put some stuff on too. That may have what you are looking for.

Any military store can make dog tags that ae up to military spec; places like Stampedout.com, US Cavalry, Brigade Quartermaster, Ranger Joes and Super Trooper can make these.

do a google search online and pick a plce, you can have them made just like the reg military make them or sterling silver, i had mine made in white gold... however Sgt cant wear his that i had made because it is considered out of uniform, but he keeps it with him. you can also have them made at most surplus stores. you can also have them made at Walmart stores, they have machines in the front of most of their stores. good luck and tell your husband thank you from me and my family!
