Is this question coming from a religious perspective or not??

If i knew i would be killed instantly then no i wouldnt sin, but nowadays just about everything is a sin.
Personally i dont know sin from not sin in regards to some things. Killing, stealing etc. is a no brainer but some are just ridiculously small that people do in everyday life which dont affect others.

Hey Don,

Very interesting question. Your question implies that people refrain from sin out of fear of death or penalty. As a Christian i really do my best to not sin- but over the course of time whether it's a thought, a word, etc. i find that when i am not depending on Jesus i will fall short of His glory.

We don't not sin because of punishment. Quite often it is forgetfulness of who God is and not a focus on evil - how easily a person can get caught up in the thinking patterns of the culture and world around them.

i think the answer would be: i always try not to sin- but i find that i do and i am thankful that Jesus' blood washes away my sins.

kindly,

Nickster

I try my VERY best not to commit any sin against my Precious Lord & Savior as I KNOW that every sin I do, was the reason He paid for it with HIS Life!!
So...sin still does cost very "a precious Life"!
A High price indeed!

Sin is not a choice. It is something that is in our nature, passed down from Adam. Who teaches a child to sin? Did you instruct your children on lying in attempt to not get into trouble, or did they figure it out for themselves? How would you stop that from happening?

No I would not still sin, but the facts are the facts. If ppl dont stop sinning, they will be lead to curse, and hell. Not my words but Gods. But, even if I knew God would allow me into heaven, no matter what I did, I would still CHOOSE not to sin and count it all as Joy. God gives me His all, and I will not give HIm any less. WE serve a mighty God, and I will be Gods all of my life, unto sacrifice, just as Jesus sacrified for us. PPL try to play with sin, but it leads to curse. THe only one they fool is themselves.
For God said that anyone that doesnt believe is a fool. He tells us not to call anyone that, but thats what HE calls them.
I pray you make ppl think. God bless you again for another great question. You are a man of God.

Well I would still do what I normally do. God, creating us knows that we need to have sex etc and HIS judgement of what constitutes a SIN is not what the self righteous do-gooders insist is a sin. I'd be OK.

Uhhhh...no :) And on the same note, knowing my sins are forgiven and I will have eternal life pretty much keeps me from sinning now.

Some would because they would just believe they could get by with it. But if we sin and don't repent we will die....The bible says so. Adam and Eve did and we all do now......Jesus died to cover that very thing and Satan has many tricked into believing others things.

Man, that would be a short lifetime. I wouldn't want to sin, but I am not perfect yet.

If that were to happen, every human on the face of this earth would be gone. Everyone sins, whether they intend to or not.
