does anyone know the spanish name for Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico means "rich Port " in English and when they came and slaughterd half our people it was name Borinquén from the Taino Indians thus we are called Boricuas which means native to the island Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is the Spanish name for the island but there is some debate as to whether it means "Rich Port" or is a Spanish conquistador corruption of the original Taino Indian name. Borinquén meaning "Land of the valiant ones" was a Taino name for Puerto Rico. This name or something similar could also have been the source of the name Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico was never one of Spain's wealthier colonies. This is what makes the "Rich port" etymology for the place suspicious.

That is its Spanish name, actually there is no translation for that name, same occurs with Madrid, Paris, Kenya, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Mexico.....
