No, he is an average driver.

Two things are obvious: 1.) Dale Earnhardt Jr. will do better in 2008, driving for Hendrick Motorsports than he did for DEI. 2.) Rick Hendrick is a better team owner for "doing the right thing" for NASCARs most popular driver. I'm still a fan of DEI because of the way Martin Truex Jr. was running circles around Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson in the last three races of 2007. I hope DEI does good in 2008, because i'm still with 'em. And part of that reason is contributed to Mark Martin also.

Now that he is with the team with the best equipment, technology & management, yes he will do better..We should see a 100% better Dale Jr next season.....and I totally agree with Snake, we should have seen the last of the D.T.B.U.A..thats a great one Snake.. 73 days till Daytona I can't wait.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2008

If he can run towards the front in a car that has a wheel falling off, I'm sure that he will do better with better equipment. HMS is at the top of the heap in racing technology, and they can certainly give him better equipment than he got with DEI.
Jr is a better driver than his record over the past year shows. He is still learning to master the car, but in the area of car control, he ranks right up there with Martin, Stewart, Gordon, and Kenseth. I think we will see some big things come for him while he is with Hendrick.

Yes he should win 2 or 3 races and make the Chase--Kyle Bush and Casey Mears had a win apiece with HMS last year so Jr. Should be able to accomplish this!!!!!

Of course, he is now with the best team in Nascar. They proved that last season. He has the chance to be a driver and not worry about the entire legacy. He will have a better car. Cars and engines that finish the race. I do believe within the next two seasons (if not next season) he will have a championship.

I think he will do as well as he did around 2002-2004. I think he and his new team will win a few races, and hover around the top 10 or 12 in points, I don't think they will take over the Cup series or anything.

I've got to think he will. He's just joined up with the most powerful organization in the business.
I don't share the same anomosity towards Teresa that others do, but there's no question that HMS is ahead of everybody else at this moment in time.

I would think so. If he has equipment to finish the races, just imagine where he will place next year! I can't wait...

Go Jr.>>>>

I'm thinking he will. I'm sure the problems with his stepmother took at least some of his focus off of racing. And he will be with a championship team so I'm sure he'll learn from that.

Lets put it this way.

If he doesnt do better, then he is nothing more than a fraud with his dad's name. He should do better since he is on a A team, with good realiable equipment.
