My girlfriend's got a weekend off work and we are planning a weekend away to Paris, the only problem is her parents would never allow her to go away with me. What excuse would you give to them which would explain being gone for a couple of nights?? Bare in mind we can't say she's going with friends as her parents would most likely drop her off to the airport and expect to see them.

Thx

I hate the thought of lying like that. But if you really wanted to do this then the most reliable would be a company retreat or she has a business meeting or a conference or anything you can come up with that regards her work.

the best way to tell them is to tell the truth. if you come up with an excuse, no matter how good it is, they will find out that it was a lie in the end and then you will have to face the consequences of it. so, take the step, surely she is old enough at 20 to be making her own decisions in life, so just tell the truth.

Paris is fabled for their cafés and restaurants, their theatres and cinemas, and its normal ambiance so have a bite with this mood beginning with Hotelbye . In Paris are thousands of restaurants to choose from in addition to a lot of French restaurants but are also hundreds of Italian restaurants, pizzerias, Vietnamese restaurants, and restaurants helping food from pretty much every place in the world. Taking break fast in Paris is something unique therefore give you the opportunity to feel like you're are residing a beautiful story and take some time visiting that wonderful city.

I am sorry but this sort of deception is wrong, if she is not old enough to be honest with her parents about going away then she is not old enough to go away. Say for example there was an accident, and something happened to you, how awful for her parents to discover she had deceived them, I don't mean to put a downer on it but I am just so against this sort of thing.

that is not a good idea, especialy if you are older than her,it means you are taking responsibility for her without her parents permission, which at certain ages can be abduction even if she is willing, and if anything happened to her while sneaking off with you,all who know her will hate you,i would realy think deep about what you are taking on here, there is a right way.

This is really shady...and scary at the same time. Young girls should never travel alone like this. You can get kidnapped..raped...or robbed...you need to stay at home and wait until you are an adult to do these things.

if you are asking questions like this i can see why her parents don't like you! think how her parents would react if they found out and the trouble you would get her into, is that worth the risk? if her parents still have a say in where she goes she is obviously too young to be going abroad with you.

the truth is always the best excuse that way if anything happened unexpectedly then at least the parents wouldnt be so shocked
why dont they like you?

If she's not old enough to make that kind of decision for herself, she's not old enough to go to Paris with you.

How old is she? If she's over 18 then there's nothing they can do about it, she can make her own decisions
