I believe it is certainly too late to stop all climate change. But climate change is not an on off switch. It is a continuing process. The sooner we stabilise the atmosphere of concentrations of greenhouse gases, the sooner we can reduce our impact on the climate thus minimising the risk of reaching tipping points that will make preventing further warming even harder. Even if we only manage to slow warming rather than prevent it, society will have more time to adjust to the changes.

Simple: the oil companies and other environmentally unsound organizations have paid a small minority of scientists to claim that nothing can be done about it. The amount of money and resources backing this minority, most of whom are not even climate experts, allows for them to write articles, appear on talk shows, and produce a massive amount of literature contradicting the vast majority of scientists who know as a fact that climate change CAN be contended with. In addition to this, these same companies also pay a lot in campaign contributions, resulting in a lot of politicians acting like they know what they are talking about, continuing to cast doubt on the scientific community. People, then, who are politically-minded make their decisions on the subject based on their political leanings, rather than reason and science. These are the people who challenge man's role in climate change.

We can't do anything about Climate Change, because it's as natural as breathing. We are not living on a static planet. (I know some might think that.) But the climate has been changing on this planet ever since it came into existence. Most AGW believers won't argue with that, but they'll try and claim that humans are speeding the process up, which is a very arrogant statement.

They would also want you to believe CO2 is a bad thing, when every living thing exhales it when they breath, Yes even us humans.

Another good point to think about is: is it really bad to imagine our climate warming up? People cry oh the Ice Bergs are melting in the Arctic, SO! Why are we so positive that's how it's supposed to be, or is the optimal thing for this planet?

I bet if the scientists went up to the Arctic circle now they would see that those Ice Bergs and the Ice Shelves are refreezing.

Man isn't causing climate change, man can't do anything to change the climate.

The Sun is the source for all heat on Earth.

"Global warming results not from the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but from an unusually high level of solar radiation and a lengthy - almost throughout the last century - growth in its intensity,"

Because the last page of the UN Summary report on Global Warming says that no matter what we do or don't do, global warming will last hundreds of years due to the heat already contained in the ocean.

Think about that this winter when you crank the thermostat down to 65 to "do your part".

Climate change (global warming) is cyclical. It is in a 1500 year cycle. Period.

To think that we have cause it or can do much, if anything, to reverse it, is arrogant.
