i was recently at a party and i broke open the stick with my teeth and it got in my mouth. is it really bad for you? and i got some on my white dress. does it stain?

yeah they are...my son broke one open..it ruined a ps2 game coated it and it wouldnt come off...got in his eye had to flush his eye out it was burning..and the spot on the carpet where it landed as well..rose about three feet up in a huge bump thing...i guess the chemicals reacted to the carpet and the glue..after putting a book on it and getting the carpet to go back down..i shampooed it...but the game went in the garbage..nothing would take it off...no more glosticks in my house..and your dress is probably ruined

Since they are also marketed to children they are not supposed to be toxic, but if they came from China, beware! Apparently everything from China is toxic now. The good news is if your not sick yet, most likely you won't be.
However just to be safe: Keep that kind of stuff out of your mouth, as you now know they can and do break and if they are from China....
As to the staining part: ANYTHING can stain a white dress!!! Air can stain a white dress, so if it doesn't stain, your just lucky. Check the packaging with the glow stick if you have it. If you don't have any then just wash the dress or dry clean as you normally would and do it NOW! The longer you wait the more likely it is to stain.

Glow Sticks. It depends. Some are toxic, some non-toxic. Is anything abnormal? If so, then see a doctor, if everythings normal, then the glow stick probably was non-toxic!
Same for the dress. I suggest you hand-wash the dress, or send it to the dry-cleaners.

Ok...if you got a LITTLE in your mouth....nothing is going to happen to you. I would say go get yourself checked if you drank the whole thing, haha. It may stain your white dress. Maybe it won't show up, I have no idea. But to answer your main question, yes, glow stick juice is toxic. That is why it is in platic tubes.

No, glow sticks are not bad for you. Also, the stain should come off. If not after 24 hours, dry cleaning is advised

well my friend's little sister was incredibly dumb once and decorated her tounge with glow stick goo and she fainted but shes fine now, she has no long term effects of it or anything. It is safe to say that you will be absolutely fine since my friend's sister is ok and she got a bigger dose of it. Good luck with the dress!

I would have rinsed my mouth out and tried to put some water on the dress. My kids play with them all the time and a few have broken but it always come out of their clothes that I can tell.

yes it stains and yes it very toxic but if you only got a drop in ur mouth its okay!

4th of July, My son had one in his mouth and it cracked opened. So it was in his mouth, on his cloths. He looked like a monster. Nothing happened, he was fine. And it washed out of his cloths.
