After a life of searching and messing up, I finally met the LORD myself, at 39 years old, the morning of April 24, 1995. Other people tried to give me their testimonies and advice all those years -- but nothing worked like the face-to-face meeting I finally had with Him.

God bless.

Neither one--at least not precisely. It would be more accurate to say that I've encountered God.

Think about a close friend, and remember when you were just getting to know them. Do you remember a time when they said something to you that somehow just resonated--that it just struck you as so completely and immediately true that it was almost like a physical sensation? That's what an encounter with God feels like. Nothing you can prove, nothing you can verify, nothing you can even describe well to another human being, but something unmistakably real nonetheless.

I am christian because I have faith in God and his son, Jesus Christ, even though I have never met either. That is why it is called FAITH. And I am Christian because of my OWN testimony... but I am influenced by others' testimonies as well.

Jesus said Go and preach... The Gospel message, which is Jesus Christ, is spread by people who have been changed by the Holy Spirit and are supposed to have lives that are examples of Christ. If their lives are no different than a person in sin, then they will not have any influence.

But for that message to have an effect on someone, that person must first hear the call of God. And that is where the importance of prayer comes in. Prayer moves God. Praying that God would show his mercy and grace to people we have daily contact with enables us believers to be aware of need in peoples lives. And that is when our testimony is supposed to be of greatest effect.

John 6:65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

I am a Christian because I have tested and tried God and He has proven to be good. I have never met him face to face but there have been many circumstances in my life that were to coincidental to have been just a coincidence.

I have studied the Bible to gain more understanding of God because when I have prayed it has always been to the God of the Bible. YHWH.

when god talked to me, he mentioned nothing about jesus or jehovah. And yes even though i hate to admit it, they/he got it right, i am a poor fool. but i love being foolish because it makes me laff in the hard times.
so yes i, this poor fool was in the light in which there is no darkness, and thus biblically that supposed to mean i am pure of heart. so obviously since they didn't tell me what my sin was, i am or should be absolved of any sins prior to that night.
but me being a Lary and looking into the word Military i see: Mi li+ Lary, so it seems like the Li+ owned by the Military, singled Me out that nite. too call me a poor fool?
not much help. guess they didn't want me to change my ways.

Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."- John 20:29

I'm a Christian because of the testimonies of others whom I believe to have been inspired by God Himself. The fact that their writings were persevered in the way in which they were gives me great assurance that they were divinely inspired.

God has worked miracles in my life, (and no I'm not going to share here so that no one can tear my testimony down). I have never heard His voice audibly, but hear it in my heart.
