i'm no longer a "non secular individual" i'm a Christian. there's a distinction. quite frankly i'm uninterested in others ruining my ability to have a superb holiday with the genuine meaning of Christmas being celebrated. I have not any situation with Halloween. My toddlers have celebrated it for years. it is a generalization that countless people placed on all Christians or people who have self belief in God. i do no longer ask everybody, everywhere to submit a manger scene or placed a cruxifix up on the interior reach Walmart because of the fact's a trip. returned yet another generalization. I do have a situation with somebody telling me i can not pray in the past my son's soccer video games. I pray on the way there for cover and stable sportmenship for the two communities, bands and cheerleaders and a secure jouney residing house besides as thanking Him while the activity is over. If somebody would not choose that prayer overlaying fantastic yet i'm no longer raming it down somebody's throat to choose it on the activity. do no longer like it, bypass to the concession stand, bathing room, turn on your Ipod, notwithstanding, it is MY God given good as an American. I see issues on television and hear them on the radio, i do no longer consider or like. it is my option to take heed to or turn if off. I chosen to do the latter of the two. a similar with our money, In God We have confidence is written on it and has been for years. would not save everybody from spending it or desiring extra of it. returned i'm no longer shoving something down everybody's throat. i do unlike people to speak for me, decide me or placed me in a catagory without my permission. it is likewise my God given good as an American. So No, I even have not ruined everybody's holiday because of the fact I chosen to have self belief in Christ. Tolerance is a 2 way highway.

I tend to believe that the holidays are ruined because of the commercialization of the season. The word holiday really came from holy day. Holy day was shortened into one word and therefore we have holiday.
Whether or not you believe it Jesus is still the reason for the season.
Merry Christ Mass!

The majority of the people in this country are Christians, and though I'm not a Christians, I have no quarrel with their public display of religion, as long as they're willing to let me practice mine.

When we start forbidding the open expression of religion, it tramples on the religious rights of all. The only thing we should worry about are those that compel others to accept their religion, as Islam does (and sometimes atheism does).

I tend to agree with the writer in this case. Holiday traditions like Christmas trees, yule logs and mistletoe should be discussed in their historic setting. And if you don't like god in the pledge, don't say it.

What I do object to is teaching religion as science. It can be taught in religion classes or other appropriate ones. Students should completely understand why science is what it is and why it is not a matter of belief.

I think that compromise and coexistence are better than leaving everyone out. Kids should learn about as many cultures as possible.
