Frankly, I was a former Taoist, went to many temples and had relatives communicated with demons (NB not the dead). . . . but God had mercy to preserve me, peradventure His goodness may leadeth me unto repentance!

If you read the scriptures right and all of them surrounding the incident it also states in the bible that these things will be done away with.

Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

I have to agree. All instances of 'tongues' apploies to a language of man, not an unintelligible 'language of God'.

The ONLY instance of speaking where man cannot understand is refering to the Holy Spirit carrying our prayers to God.

Superstition is the child of ignorance. Perverting and corrupting the intended meanings of sacred texts to suit one's own agenda or following unquestioningly the beliefs of our parents or culture are dangerous and harmful superstitions. Remaining true to the underlying reality, rather than the superstitious encrustations of the holy texts is informed faith. Science is a tool we can use to inform us if we are believing in superstitions. Is it fitting that we should still be bound and restricted by ancient fables and superstitions of the past; be handicapped by superannuated beliefs and the ignorances of dark ages, waging religious wars, fighting and shedding blood, shunning and anathematizing each other?

You have an interesting question...

It is very problematic in proving it though since I've never heard demonic worship even resembling the tongue spoke by Pentecostals

I agree that the manifestation of tongues can be counterfeited by evil powers. I think that the only way you are going to be able to tell that the tongue is demonic is by spiritual discernment.

By THY words THOU art justified or condemned: Mt 12.
When THEY say...destruction comes upon THEM: 1Th 3
The tongue is a WMD, if it speaks bless + curse: Jam 3.

POINT: Grace + Law ends as badly as Life + Death.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
