It sort of depends on how bad it is.

It can be normal to have a little swelling and redness after a piercing.

If it has swollen up big and nasty - sore as anything - (see the video from YouTube for a badly swollen ear piercing abscess) then you need to see a doctor for some antibiotics and maybe a drainage of the abscess!

Don't use alcohol again. It dries out the piercing and can actually make it worse. Is it red and warm to the touch? If it is, it's infected. Be very careful with this, but try this before you go to the doc: Get some Neosporin and gently push the earring forward so you see the post (the part that goes into your ear) and put some Neosporin on it. Push the post back into the hole and twist the earring around to get the stuff through the hole. If the swelling doesn't start to go down in a day or 2, take the earring out and go to the docs.

And it won't take long for your parents to figure out that your ears are pierced.

Put hydrogen peroxide (the stuff in the brown bottle next to the alcohol at the drug store) on your ear several times a day. A triple antibiotic ointment (from the drug store) several times a day would be good, too.

Rubbing alcohol dries your skina and causes more irritation. I would put some hydrocortisone cream over the counter, twice daily and if no relief over the weekend, see a doctor.

The alchohol is what got it infected. You got dry skin up in there. Go to a piercer and buy H2Ocean. If that doesnt help, see a doctor

Swelling is a sign of infection, is it painful too? Try applying topical antibiotic to control infection, before it gets worse.
