it hurts when i press it.its not inflated or red or anything else.just hurts when i press down on it.i mean where my belly button is, if u go to the right side like4 inches , and press down it hurts !i cant go to the doctor i already went today.or is it like just sore cuz wen i went to my doc today, she was pressing down my stomach.wat is it?apendix?idk im 13 years old plez help!

There are several missing details in your question. One is do you or have you had a temperature? Did the pain begin when the doctor was assessing your abdomen? For what reason did you visit the doctor? This type of information is necessary in order to attempt to help you.
Yes, the appendix is located approximately where you have described. But, there are many other possibilities for the pain other than appendicitis. It could be as benign as a bout of constipation or simply the doctor pushing a little too hard while assessing the area.
Dear, you need to give more detail.
You should discuss this with a parent if you feel as though something is wrong. If you have no temp. or increased pain or discomfort, then I would suggest you not worry. Should you begin to have other symptoms like nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, elevated temp. etc., go immediately to the ER. I would advise you to not press on the area. This will in no way help the situation.

Is the pain continuous or just when you do a sit up or pressing on it? If its sharp it might be a hernia. I have had a sharp pain in my belly button for years. It only happens after I have exerted my self excessively then rested. It also hurts to pee when this happens. I have only talked to a couple of people that have had this happen. Im not sure what it is but was told it could be a mild hernia. I dont think its anything like your appendix though. That pain is usually to one side. Not sure but I think its the right.

Your appendix is located much further down on your abdomen than your belly button.
Symptoms of appendicitis are: vomiting, diarrhea, severe abdominal cramping and a very low white blood cell count.
I had appendicitis and my appendix removed when I was 17. The pain was so bad that I could not stand up straight. It sounds like you do not have that, I hope you feel better soon.

well i remember when I was 15 years old i had to have my apendix removed, i used to feel alot of pain, it is more to the right of your belly and alittle down. it could be cramps , what did the doctor say? do you drink alot of water? if you drink aloot like about 8 cups of water or so, it could probably be a stone or something because that is common too.

belley buttons are a weird mystery of life, for millions of years reserach has been done on belly buttons but no one realy knows what they are or where they come from, and some actually say they have seen them :/ :D. Your appendix is on your right side and appendicitis usually causes excruciating pain. If your belly button is just a little sore, my guess would be it's just sore muscles.

It is located on your right lower side. If it hurts you will know that somethings wrong with it. Go to the doc or ask your parents
