If your going to be a apprentice you won't get paid. In some cases you will infact be charged for the service of being an apprentice. You may be charged for the materials you use to practice.

Apprentices don't get paid. Pro atrists pay rent for the chair the work at usually.

Since you didn't say you were an apprentice, and assuming you are already tattooing (although I question your abilities if not having served an apprenticeship), the general split is 50/50 between the studio and the artist.

If you're going to be an apprentice, my guess is you'll probably be paid in experience rather than cash, for a while at least.
