my son has been using pine tar soap for a lil over a month now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks.

Oily skin can be caused by dryness - your skin overcompensates for it by producing oil.

My best guess for you is hormones. Acne can last years and years and has little to do with how often you wash. You should probably ask your doctor to prescribe you with a birth control pill or other hormone which can help your skin once your hormones are in balance. It may take up to 3 months to work though so be patient.

Throughout the day, use oil papers which you can buy at The Body Shop or your local drug store. Just wipe your face with them and they take your oil off while leaving your make up on! Good Luck!

Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

I had huge pimples and tried about every over-the-counter product. After a while I went to a derm and got anti-biotics. They worked immediately for me. There are expert nutrition books at the Library that can address your issue also. Good luck.
