I've been talking to this guy for about 3 months and after asking me a question that he felt I didn't ask in a more direct way said "
You're a very complicated person." How should I take that? What could he mean by that?

He may have choose the wrong word of description, how
could he tell you, you are complicated just by an answer
to one question, Sounds like it's nothing more then an off the
wall opinion, maybe you just didn't say what he wanted to hear, so he turned it to your direction, if his remark is a bother to you, you should ask him what he meant. maybe it is true, hard to tell by the brief you wrote.

When I say that to a woman, it means two things: I like her AND she's a bit hard to understand.
If this guy is intelligent and known for being perceptive or is popular with girls, this is one of the best compliments you could get. But that's just how I am when I say it.

Your just not simple and dont do all that he wants and your your own person. everyone is complicated in their own way. My fella always tells me im complicated.

Maybe he feels like he has to "translate" what you are saying. I believe that men just prefer direct communication. they just want you to say what you mean and tell them what you want.

It means you are not easy to figure out. Just when he thinks he has figured you out, you throw him a curve ball. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It means you are a challenge.
