there are a numerous amount of contradictions and inconsistencies within the book. but you must realize that almost all of this religion is taken on something called faith (which can also be defined as "blind belief"). people taking essentially largely made up stories and using them to provide themselves with strength and a sense of purpose. at the end of the day, we are all trying to find purpose, to find meaning, and religion, in some way, provides a foothold to said purpose...
imagine how the world would be like without the control of religion...
without the fear and knowledge of all damnation hanging over everyones heads...
just imagine...
do you imagine it to be gloom , or glorious?

Personally, I do not believe that just because the way your "cards were dealt" that you will be damned. Let's say that there is a man who lives on a Pacific Island 400 years ago and he never heard of God. Is he damned because he never heard of the great truth? I don't think so, no. It may also be the same if, say, someone in Modern America were raised in a non-religious family and they never really thought about it much. Are they damned? I don't think so. Now, if the person doesn't want to be affiliated with any congregation, and in doing so they "abandon" God... they may have a different story.

First, they are not "damned for not believing in religion". Second, He gives everyone many chances in their life to experience Him and change their minds. God sends many things their way, something usually hits them and either they get it or not. But, don't think they are totally innocent by any means that they aren't given any chances, they are and the Bible discusses this very subject.
God wants people to understand who He is, what Jesus did, what He expects of them and to let them know He loves them.

Jesus said that the only way to the father is through Him. So whether it be atheist or just someone who refuses to accept Jesus as Lord and saviour, they will not be let into the mansion that He has built. It is a matter of faith and of glorifying the Lord, not a matter of life experiences.

No one is condemned to Hell, we are born into a sinful nature and Hell is our destiny......UNLESS you follow what the Lord says..."no man may come unto the father but by me". You must believe and accept the reason for the supreme sacrifice.
Atheists dont believe that

the bible says there is only one way to the father(the father is in heaven) is by believing Jesus died on the cross and rose again.
God does not want to sent anyone to hell. He gives us our own will. We choose how we live, and believe. God does not. If we choose not to live and believe in Jesus then we sent our own selves to Hell......

Having an answer to that question is not going to do YOU any good. The only answer that will be of any use to YOU is to this question.
What are YOU going to do about Jesus?
Because,
By the deeds of the law there shall no person be
justified in God’s sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin and all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:20, 23
Then,
They all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:12 Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him shall the Son of man (Jesus) also confess before the angels of God: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.. Luke 12:8-9
However.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
For,
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Therefore,
If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
Then,
He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white robes; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
So,
That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15

I don't think it is intelligent to think the world exploded into us. But i don't know exactly why things are the way they are, i guess only God does, aside from the fact that we screwed up the perfect world.
Non of us can say who God is damming to hell, aside from trusting about yourself.

According to the Bible, Proverbs in particular, athiesm is not the result of intellectual reasoning but of moral impurity. People don't want a God because He tells them what they can and cannot do.

For the same reason a person falls to their death as they run toward a cliff after being warned time after time by kind people along the way. It all comes down to choices.
