We're all given, at least, one talent/gift with which we are to serve God and our fellow human beings. Perhaps God will speak to you about this in a dream, as He speaks in tones, colors, and patterns(archetypes).

This is a good question. Well, I believe we have to find God through all our trials and tribulation. At the end of our lives, did we learn from our mistakes. Did we turn to God. I believe that's our purpose on earth. As situations unfold in your life I think you will be able to understand just a bit of your purpose on earth. I have an idea so far and I've only been living for twenty something years.
You must have a peronal relationship with God to understand. It's quite hard to understand, but I know he exist. Man didn't just come from no where.

It starts with doing what you know God's will is.
1) Knowing His Son Jesus as Lord and Savior
2) Spending time reading the bible
3) Spending time praying
4) Spending time with other Christians
5) Going to a bible teaching church consistently
As you do these things, God will reveal His purpose for you.

Your purpose is to treat others with kindness and respect and to find your passion, wherever that may be, and then go about filling your life with it.

It is the Christian idea that we are to seek God, to experience God and to find our joy in Him forever.
Seeking God is worship. We can seek Him everyday by trying to obey His command to love our neighbor. For where love is, there God is also. We experience Him in our experiences with trying to help our neighbor.

Your heart and your feelings tell you what is what in this world.
Also your common sense (logic and reason) that you live everyday by - like crossing the road, you use.
Never let go of these (all the above) to guide you.
Note - God does not exist (the above tells you this --- religion tells us otherwise, now who? do you believe, is telling you the truth about things...)
