i think of a few people verify with faith as "brainwashing" because of the fact they in my opinion sense they have been inspired by using relatives and society (predominately from an early age) to have faith in a faith they could no longer thoroughly have faith in. for this reason, those actual everyone seems to be left with a feeling of being wrongly inspired by using the very comparable people they have faith. The term "brainwashing" is obviously a very destructive term to throw around, and can be fairly of an over-exaggeration, yet people for this reason are regularly describing the term from a private point.

There is a huge chance that you will read what i'm about to write and say "What an idiot!" Or whatever. i'm not trying to "convert you." This is my view:

Every religion has rules. What you can and cannot do. Every religion has requirements and self-righteousness.

i'm not not a Christian.
i am a human. nothing more than any.

i love God and i love Jesus. He is my savior. i love His word and the fact i can spea to Him.

The difference is simply grace.

christianity is a religion, per say, BUT the reason so many of us believers say we dont belong to a religion is because we have a personal relationship with JESUS, i personally, HATE the religious systems of our day because they {denominations} are so powerless and so full of hypocrites, its a wonder there is any religion, because it is so phony!!!BUT Jesus has never failed me and always been GOOOOD to me, dont go to a religion to be saved go straight to the SOURCE, the ONE who died for me while i was still an enemy to HIM. HE"LL LOVE on you and theres no way you would be able to walk away from HIS sweetness!just repent of your sins and ask HIM to be your LORD and SAVIOR. then start reading your bible, just you and HIM and he'll reveal to you, the difference between religion and relationship.he also understands why so many hate HIM, because of the way christianity has represented HIM, believe me, HE is powerful and very good. come to HIM today and start an adventure

If they look up the word "religion" in the dictionary, it's pretty darn well a religion. But then again xtians will say something like this, "The definition in the dictionary is taken out of context and is not to be taken literally!" ROFLOL!

Christianity is merely a title, but does not define (totally) who we are. Just like if you are fat, you are not merely a fat person, there is more to you than that. I think saying religion is too simplistic. It is a belief system.

For the same reason that some people say that evolution has nothing to do with religion.

because it is a relationship between the individual and God, brought about through Christ. In a general sense, as a belief system, Christianity is not about doing or earning favor with God, just accepting that Christ died for sins.
