I am more prone to believe that several ministries have ignored the Bible's call to unpaid ministry (aka priestcraft) throughout the NT in:
Matthew 10:8, Acts 20:34, 1 Cor. 4:12 & 9:18
(My favorite:"What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.")
2 Thes. 3: 8, and 1 Peter 5:2.
When God says something many times, I think he means it. Preaching another gospel for profit brings its' own consequences.

A lot of these so called 'ministers' bilk the public for money and then lead lavish lifestyles at the expense of the uneducated and ill informed. I think it is a disgrace. They beg for money from those on a fixed income (mainly the elderly) then they drive around in Mercedes, own yatchts and unbelievable homes. It is a mortal sin what these people do and the government should make them pay taxes like everyone else. Of course the punishment they will get at the pearly gates will be worse.

Sign of the end time? Yes. END for all persons who think they can use the names of the holy in heaven to make themselves RICH from the last few dollars of a faithful, desperate person who puts their trust in some of these charlatans. I have petitioned government entities to begin the process of accountability for ALL religions and their leaderships, AND to begin a taxing process to all religions who apply for federal grants to support their private schools. Why should we tax payers support them while they pay no taxes? I work for a living and do not get paid for my work in the Lord. I am also an ADVOCATE of these actions to rid the world of persons who use the Lord for their own gains, and am also an........

So "Faith Based Initiatives" is an attack on Christian ministries?
Think a little more broadly before making a statement like this.

We're not in end times. The Prosperity Gospel is a false gospel, and these leaders are swindling people. They are being investigated not for their beliefs, but for their misuse of tax sheltered dollars.

Why don't you tell me why churches being investigated with all due proccess is a sign of the apocalypse? Wouldn't it actually be worse if it turned out that the government is right, and there is something illegal going on?
