Christians! Where did you get your preconceived notions, ideas, thoughts about atheists and atheism?

Bible, Church, Parents, Personal experience or was it something else?

Joh, everyone has different ideas. Whatever they are, I'm just trying to find where they learned them. wether good or bad.

Did I say anything about Christians being bigoted and prejudenced? No.

How can you hate something that you have no belief in and how is that so hard to understand?

Yahoo answers, mostly.
But I had a very good friend in the Navy who was an atheist. I like to think that most atheists are like him.

Before coming on the website the only preconceived idea I had about atheist is that they did not believe there was a God. From seeing the questions and answers on this website I now feel most atheist think any person with faith is illogical, stupid, and should not be allowed to voice any opinion based on their faith. I feel real angry and hatred from many atheist on this website.

If they are "preconceived" notions, then you didn't get them from some external source. If you get ideas and notions from external sources, they are not "preconceived".

I got most of my "preconceived" ideas from talking to atheists, especially from reading their questions here in R&S.

For the most part, generally speaking, atheists believe that God doesn't exist. Was I mistaken about this?

The other main idea and notion I have gotten from reading atheists' questions here in R&S is that they don't really like Christians very much and they mock and criticize Christians for believing in something that they, personally don't believe in.

From what others have written in this website, the main hardship-loose i've got considered is wide-spread answer #one million- "they are going to hell". i actually haven't any preconceived notions. Atheists deserve the excellent to believe or disbelieve what ever they like in that regard. as long as persons are not militant approximately it, they deserve their due admire. merely like people who believe in a definite faith. do no longer attempt to transform me, and we are going to get alongside merely superb.

The only "preconceived notion, idea, thought about atheists and atheism" That I have is that they don't believe in a God. That is it.

Most of my rubbing elbows with atheists has been right here on YA . I have found them generally a bit more mean spirited than I thought they would be. If you atheists dont believe in God why are you even here on R&S? I think it is because they have a little voice deep down inside them... and ..... well you know what I going to say already since Ive said it a thousand times before here on R&S.. Come to Christ

Atheism is actually a religion. Did you know that

It is the religious belief not to believe in God, His Word, nor the here after.

The Bible speaks clearly about those who disvalue God, His Word (Bible) and so on. I am confused about your question because most have different forms of intellect foundings.

No preconceived thoughts, I just no they don't believe in G-D, it's their right. Madalyn O'Hara was a real pip though never seen such a hater of G-D and Christians.

If we got them from somewhere would they really be preconceived? I did get my idea that atheists don't really exist from the bible. There are no atheists. There are those that acknowledge and love God, and those that hate God, that's it. Which are you?
