I haven't yet filed for a 501c3 but I operate a online database consisting of housing options for homeless and/or low-income individuals and families. The site is already built I only need someone to upgrade the appearance. I'm no artist which is why I can't do it myself. How can I find someone to help me?

Thank you
Christopher

As you are not an official nonprofit, you cannot use resources like VolunteerMatch to recruit volunteers. So, you will have to rely on other means. You might be able to post to CraigsList (http://www.craigslist.com) to find someone to help you for free (not sure what their restrictions are regarding individuals looking for volunteers to help them).

If you have friends that work at large organizations, whether government, corporate or nonprofit, you could ask them to ask their IT departments if there are any employees willing to donate time to help you.

You can get virtual volunteers through Volunteer Match at http://www.volunteermatch.org/

If you're nonprofit is working in or for developing countries, then you can also use UN Volunteers - http://www.onlinevolunteering.org/hosts/index.htm
