Call IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and ask for the "return transcript" IRS will provide it for free and you should have the transcipt in about 10 days from the date you requested the informaiton. Financial aid accepts the transcript for proof of income and proof of filing.
If you need the actual copy of your return it cost $39.00 (www.irs.gov) download form 4506 "request for copy of tax return" and takes them up to 60 days to provide copy.
You can download form 4506-T and fax in to IRS at fax number provided and usually takes 10 days to provide them also. The phone number 800-829-1040, is usually very busy and you could be on hold for a while.

Call 1-800-829-1040 and ask for a copy of your 2006 tax return. (2007 isn't over yet.) It can be mailed to you or if you have a fax machine at your home, faxed to you.
