If India is poor, it is because of Westerners who looted india for 200 years.... even now the Kohinoor diamond is lying in London.
It was only the deep philosophy and spirituality of hinduism (sanatan dharma) that kept India above others.. despite being poor.
And the economic upliftment which is going on... will remove poverty too.
it is just 60 years of independence.. buddy agey agey dekho hota hai kya
The only thing we have to learn is to Unite, leaving our prejudices against caste, state religions and languages..

India is an interesting place for spitruality in that you will find everything. From the most strict to the atheist. Do i think india has the best scriptures? I wont agree or disagree. I agree in that the oldest written scrpture(vedas) does come from india, but with all the philsophy and scriptures people to follow them. For instances if you ask the average hindu they would say the vedas are the truth and the best. Great but the main theme of the rig veda is scrafice, and gods and goddess play little to no real importance. On top of this the God's and Goddess that are mentioned in the vedas are not really even worshipped today. Also within the 4 vedas there is controdictions. I am not saying this to be negative, because if people followed the bible the way it should be all males would be circumcised(there is a whole chpater on it). I also think its impossible to say that the scriptures and philsophers are the best because not everyone will believe the same things. I love ramakrishna but others may not. For me the middle east has created the best philsophers, buts its up to the person to choose whats right for them(chiinese philsophy is amazing as well).

Your assumption is absolutely correct. Despite the poverty and diversity of castes(very recent creation say about 200 years or so), India has shown a glittering path of peace and prosperity to the world. Poor are those who do not wish to work or move to other places in search of work. Caste system doesn'g harm social harmoney (except misuse by few antisocial elements) and all enjoy real freedom of religion and worship. Most of the countries/religions hate India and her religions but India has never hated anybody. This is the glory of India. India is the pride of the world peace.

i think of "a million)Detachment or Vairagya:- questioning this international is mortal and only diverting each and all of the goals in the direction of God." is greater non secular. besides the undeniable fact that it isn't any longer artwork of a elementary guy or woman. For you will desire to become like Swami Vivekananda, who gave up each element. particularly that's greater valuable to renounce each thing on your Guru or deity, mentally and act as His trustee. this would artwork to a pair quantity. "Niswarth" prem additionally contains some style of swarth. And Gyan or information has no shrink. you are able to no longer even study entire scriptures interior the international, and information the magnificent meaning will take many births to end. and for this reason i think of first Vairagya is greater non secular. Jai Shree Ram!!!!!

Great observation.
People who don't appreciate good things in India should stay away from there. Those of you who can not accept it can leave anytime (now), you missed an opportunity in 1947.
It does not mean that we can not improve or that there are we do not some bad individuals and groups. But overall your observation is to the point.
we are happy y thor_hes...

And don't you just love the Caste system too? Isn't it wonderful that most of their population is relegated to poverty and discrimination of the worse kind because of the vedic scriptures? Isn't it just wonderful that children die in the streets and are loaded on trucks like garbage? Isn't it great that some people are so low they don't even actually have a "caste" but are lower than all castes, and are known as untouchables? Isn't it great that they can never, ever, change castes, no matter how "good" of a Hindu they are? What a lovely religion!
I'll stick with Christianity, where the ground is level at the foot of the cross.

You are absolutely right, but only if that can make you more humble.
Those born and brought up in India are the luckiest. Those who are settled in India are luckier. Those who are elsewhere, but in touch with Indian philosophy are the lucky ones.
How much one makes use of his/ her fortunes is another matter altogether. Just being luckiest and not utilising it means the most backward thinking people!

i guess that depends on how you define spirituality and where it diverges from religion and philosophy. also: india is vast. It contains 1/6 of the global population and came from one of the four proto-cultures that created civilization (the nile, euraphrat and tigris, the indus and the yuang-tze (yellow river) (all rivers)). it would be amazing if nothing amounted from that...

I do agree with you. It is the Land of Gods, Land of Saints and Sages, Land of places unique in the world, Land of Myths and Legends, Land of the men and women who fought for humanity, Land of all these cultures and traditions under one and the same roof, Land of myths and legends, Land of all that is beautiful and complete!
