You are not afraid someone else will screw it up? Brave of you. But they will.
You can let anyone do it but you know what wil happens if you look at the result of a coloring contest. Disappointing to say the least.
Be brave and do it yourself. There is no substitute for it.

Oh yes. there are a plethora of places that do that work. its usually done by mail in. Mmm dont know a site off hand. but there are sites that advertise artists and let you choose one that has a "style" you like etc.. depending on the site and reputation of the artist it can be as cheap as... 250+ ive seen them go insanely high too.. (10,000+) So. just google. "commission portrait painters" i bet you'll find 20 sites off the bat.

Do you have a college in your area? If so, call and ask their art department if they have anyone that can do that. You might be able to help a college student out with some extra cash and also save yourself some money that a studio would charge.

go to a school and get an art teacher to do it or maybe a friend that's a good artist
