Any elaboration as to how/why would be cool.

All very good, honest answers.
Thank you.
There is a clear pattern to leave God out of it.
This one may have to go to a vote to choose best...I'm stumped.

Yes. I am a Christian and I want my children to be around the same type of people that I am. As my children grow they have the chance to learn and make their own choices but when they are young and need care then I want someone just like me to watch over them.

It depends on how religious you are. That might be a big concern for you, if it's not I wouldn't worry about it, unless there are certain holidays you would rather your child celebrate than others. I would be more concerned with child/teacher ratio. I don't know where you live, but your state should regulate day cares. I would find out if there is a website where you can go to check scores and any investigations. Most important though is trust your instinct. If you think something is fishy or off, it probably is. If you're not comfortable, than your child won't be either.

Yes, absolutely.

I choose a Christian church/school with a daycare program to watch my son. Not all of the children there attend that church, nor do their older siblings go to school there, but some do. My family attends church somewhere else, but they practice our faith.

It is important for my son to learn about the religion that my husband and I practice. Even at the young age of 14 months, he is learning. As he grows he'll hear Bible stories and their meaning, he will learn why certain holidays exist and why they're important. He'll be exposed to a church setting and what is and is not appropriate to do during church. He will learn why it is important to treat others with kindness, to forgive, and why it is bad to lie, cheat, steal, etc. I'm sure other kids learn these things too, but he will have stories and reasoning behind each also.

Our lives are surrounded by our religious believes and we make decisions every day in reference to those beliefs... he should learn to do the same... until he is old enough to explore other choices.

I think it would depend on how central your religious beliefs are to your life, and how they're reflected in the day care. As a former day care/pre-school director we had children from a variety of religious backgrounds. If it was important to the parent that their beliefs be incorporated into their child's daily routine, we did our utmost to respect that. In 18 years there was never a time when we couldn't accommodate the beliefs of our children and their families.

Well, my baby isn't here YET. But the religion wouldn't be my main concern in finding a daycare. I'd rather it be clean and ran well then it being the same religion as I am. Yes, it would be a nice benefit but you don't always get everything you want.

Yes.
I sent my children to two daycares. . . One was called Noah's Ark. They had a christian philosophy which was built into the lessons and songs.

I sent them to another daycare which was funded by the Catholic Disoces (spelling??) There it wasn't inlcuded - parents had to sign a special form to let them play/learn/sing - participate and if the kids did it separatley.

I think it gives them a good / positive upbringing. . . as long as it isn't 'too much'.

if the daycare doesn't include it (as another day care didn't that they went to...) I am okay with that too.

We don't use daycare on a regular basis at all. But, if I did, I would want to make sure that the daycare provider wasn't going to be giving my child any kind of religious indoctrination at all.

I didn't. My daycare provider is Catholic and I'm LDS so we celebrate the same main holidays and I like that she does a Christmas and an Easter celebration with all the kids.

Nope! As long as they're able to take care of the children, provide games, activies, fun, and also able to keep all the children in control then it's fine.

NO... religious beliefs are a personal thing... and i don't expect my child will learn much about theology in daycare.
