Asherah - Goddess of Fertility (whore houses too)
Dagon, God of Vegetation
all got ousted by Yahweh.
So, what was Yahweh's "specialty" was he the "Trickster"?

It's interesting that Judaic/Christian mythology has old gods being ousted by new ones. In Greek mythology, the Titans are ousted by Zeus and the Olympians, and in Norse mythology the Aesir ousted the Vanir. In Irish mythology, the Tuatha de Danaan ousted the Fir Bolg.
Anybody else see a pattern here?
