One of the leading reasons for snoring is a deviated septum. Once that partition inside your nose shifts you physically can't breathe out of your nose as intended. You need to open your mouth to breathe which leads to snoring. Another reason is obstructive sleep apnea. Leading reasons for this are obesity, excessive use of alcohol, tobacco use, and a genetic predisposition.

Grinding of teeth is associated with TMJ. This is a joint disorder which can be exasperated by stress.
