I think 10 or 20 years is probably a little soon for that. As far as I know, most projections have shown that if greenhouse gases are left unchecked, then FL will start losing land to the ocean around 100 years from now.
And even though FL is a pretty flat state, a lot of the inland areas won't be submerged. They just might become coastal property!

BLAH global warming is rubbish. I don’t believe it. The earth is just going through different cycles. If you where to go back and look at earths history you will see changes in the temperature. I believe that earth is just hitting a warming cycle. Notice how some scientist are saying that we are due for an ice age. I believe that this is very true. Once earth has hit its peak of the warming earth will start to cool down and form another long over due ice age. But about all the toxins that we release into the air each day it is destroying the ozone layer. There is already a big hole somewhere in either the north or South Pole. Its not getting any smaller either and if we don’t do something about it earth could very well become extinct. Now back to the subject about Florida. I do believe that Florida will be mostly covered in water due to the warming but I’m not to sure about in the next 5 to 10 years. Maybe in like 30 to 40 years. But like I said when the ice age comes if it ever dose comes that is. All the water will then refreeze and earth will be back to the way it was back in the 30's and 40's and it will then restart it cycle of heating and cooling.

No, Florida will not sink under water in 10 or 20 years. Especially, since the ice is reforming in the Arctic Circle right now. You see it melts (Oh and don't forget evaporates) in the summer when our days are longer up here, then it refreezes in the winter and since winter did start sooner this season it has a longer freezing season.
I shake my head at how people don't use common sense. They just listen to other people and believe them emphatically and don't think about the different seasons we go through.

I think in about 10 or 20 years we'll be worried about "global cooling" and whether we're going into another ice age. That's what happened in the 70's. People need to be afraid of the earth ending and it has to change every so often. It's all cyclic.
Besides, Florida has always been below sea level. They filled it with sand years ago, but it's mostly swamps. New Orleans is below sea level and always has been. And in Italy, Venice was built on a swamp and they're always having to worry about going under water. Been that way for 100's of years.

The more important questions are: why did Al Gore buy a Mansion, while at the same time he is advising people to live in straw huts to save energy? Is this a good indication of people making money off global warming?

Absolutely not, the notion of such a thing is pure nonsense. By 2020 Canada will be a bitter place to live, and New York and Chicago will be unbearably cold and Florida will be one of the most desirable places to live in America. Global warming has ended and a new little ice age is approaching, prepare yourself.

No, not due to global warming. I rad about this once about 20 years ago, and when Florida sinks it will be from the accumulated weight of all the back issues of National Geographic all the old retired people take with them there.
This is true; I am not making this up.

florida will be wiped out by a tsunami long before global warming sinks it.

most people think ten to 20 years is a little too soon but actually its not, if we sat back and did nothing yes it would, there are islands that existed with people less then 2 years ago that are completely gone now, and also not just florida most of the east coast and especially new york. the ice caps are melting everyday that we do nothing and they will keep melting and could take years after global warming is stopped (if ever) to rebuild and reform, so we could go through awhile of florida being flouded before it goes back to normal.
also ice that you make in your freezer isnt the same as polar ice, that ice is filled with tons of water and will displace alot more water then ice cubes.

10 to 20 years? Sounds like someone needs to do a little research on global warming.
