who thinks the ps3 will surpass the xbox360. i think it will cuz the 360 has been out for two years and they already released their best games like halo. people say the 360 cuz it has more and better games of course the xbox360 has better and more games its been out for 2 years. the ps3 will come out with more games next year.

i dont care about your opinon and im not a ps3 fanboy i just want your opinion.

Sales figures are based on untis produced and shipped to stores. A store sells one then they order a another to be placed on the shelf. Unit considered shipped and sold.

The 33% 360 hardware failure rate is solely based on retail store statistics for 360 consoles returned and replaced using the in store extended warrranties.. So if this true then the actual number of new 360s entering homes of first time 360 buyers would mean the actual sales number for the full 2 years of the 360 sales is less than 8 million.

Stores selling extend warranties actually considered not selling them for the 360 because they were having to give 33% of all their 360 buyers 1 sometimes up to 3 brand New ones right from their store shelves to replace the red ring of death 360s. Instead they were " urged " to just double the cost of the extended warranties.

The 33% number is only based on retailers this percentage does not include all the Fried 360s sent to and replaced shipped directly from microsoft. So the 360 sales numbers are seriously skewed.

In the ps3s 1st year the ps3 sales numbers are around 9 million to date, which means that 9 million households own a ps3. And only 8 million or so households actually own the 360 after 2 years on the market.

The wii has respectfully outsold them both due to price and cross generational appeal.

THe 360 is outdated and limited with 8gig dvd game format and Microsoft will have to redesign or consign a company like let's say Toshiba to create their next system and it will be like the ps3 computer entertainment center except with hddvd and it will come very very soon. I suspect in 08. ..

Yes, I think that Sony will surpass Microsoft in sales eventually, it's only just a matter of time.

The PS1 and PS2 both sold over 100 million consoles, so I think that it's safe to say that there are more Sony gamers around the world than Xbox gamers. Also, the PS3 has way more support in Japan, and that will give Sony the upper hand as well. The PS3 has sold more than double in Japan than the 360. The 360 had just sold a little over 500,000 consoles in Japan just this year! The first Xbox didn't even sell over 500,000 consoles in Japan.

Like you said, the Xbox 360 has already released it's heavy hitter games, and another big heavy hitter game for the 360 is a long way down the road. In my opinion, the next heavy hitter game for the 360 is either Halo Wars or Gears of War 2 and that's it.


The PS3 has way more exclusives in 2008, and Sony has more heavy hitter games coming in 2008. Microsoft was trying to win this console war by starting to run at full speed at the beginning of the race, but Sony has been jogging behind them, and in 2008, the Xbox 360 will lose a bit of steam and the PS3 will catch up and eventually the PS3 will outsell the 360.

you are right especially with metal gear solid, haze, killzone 2, gran turismo 5, final fantasy XIII, socom, resistance 2, etc all are coming out in 2008!!
