Personally, I would go with Bridgestones. But before I buy any tire, I check with the Tire Rack. Their website includes an amazing comparison section that rates and evaluates nearly all available tires from around the globe and puts it in easy to read and understand format. Brand names totally count, since they are better engineered, last longer, and are trustier. Nothing I've ever seen can beat this website for the best advice! Try it and see!

I agree with most posters, BF goodrich and bridgestone all great all around tires.

Goodyears make some quiet tires and also performance tires

The michelins are rougher ride but wear like iron

Continentals are a alright tire... better than their brother the General

I just got some new Brigestone tires on my 04 Taurus and they are working out great. They have a 80k warranty which is why they were somewhat expensive.

If you have a Sams Club, buy them there. Very much less expensive. Michelin is the best but cost more. I would buy what ever is the best deal available.
