Well Jesus was a bit sarcastic Himself from time to time so it couldn't be satan.
Read Mat 23
Mat 23:24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

I once heard a quote that was "Sarcasm is the weapon of the weak." I think that it is a product of humanity and it would be ridiculous to blame it on anything else.
The quote was from one of my old school teachers that hated when we would be sarcastic, and honestly, I think I may agree (although I tend to be sarcastic often). I think it's the easiest type of humor to master and doesn't really speak of a person's real wit or logicality. It's something I fall back on that's a sure way to get laughs and is effective when on the defense--and that in no way means it's a good thing.
I'm not a Christian, but I didn't think that it really mattered with this question...sorry if it does.

Sarcasm comes from the heart of a person that has been really hurt and they are lashing out, trying to get rid of their anger. I think it stems from satan, no man can be that cruel.

This is such a dumb question. Any evil coming from sarcasm would be your satan. Any harmless wit would be a blessing from your God.
Of course.
But, since neither of those figures exist (God and Satan), I can tell you sarcasm completely comes from the cortex of a developed human's mind. It is just wit that an animal is able to think with a developed brain. Whether it hurts one or not is what makes it seem bad or good. Naturally you don't like being hurt (physical or no), and many people don't like anyone to get hurt.

Sarcasm... I'd say from man. Meanness... from satan, but used an awful lot by man too.

From man I'm afraid. When we as Christians use sarcasm...its like saying we are better. We degrade the other person to a lower level in our eyes and other peoples eyes. Its hurtful when someone says something offensive and is using sarcasm. I don't think Jesus or his disciples said things sarcastically...like "Peter you are so dumb you didn't even see that I changed the water into wine" or "duh I died for you and you still don't get that Thomas?" You know its hurtful? But that's just my view about it. Oh I say this all in a very calm voice. :-)

Neutral weapon. Depends who is using it and why. Elijah was sarcastic in the extreme with the prophets of Baal. They dance around calling for fire to fall on their cheap imitation altars, and nothing happens. So Elijah says this:
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 1 Kings 18:27.
Sounds more than a little sarcastic to me. And totally appropriate.

Well, I think humor is from God, and I think sarcasm is funny....so I think sarcasm could be from God. Of course people use it for bad sometimes.
