That's the reason they DO believe in 'god' cos they FEAR death.
They believe in an afterlife cos their ego won't allow them to realise they're just temporary inhabitants of earth.
They feel they're speshull - and therefore they should be granted 'everlasting life' AND they want to stay in the Invisible Sky Critter's house and NOT Satan's cos it's too hot 'down' there.

It seems NONE understand that if you don't have a physical body you have no nerves and VOILA! no pain.
They are not real conversant with LogicReason; they’re not real bright.

No sane human being wants to purposely undergo the death process, whether the individual is a believer or non-believer. I'm religious and believe in God, but just like anyone else, I'm in no rush to die. It'll come eventually, whether tomorrow or sixty years from now. When it comes, I can only hope that it comes as pleasantly as possible. The fact that I'm going to eventually die doesn't scare me. It's a natural part of the biological life cycle. I was born; I'll also die. No big deal.

very frequently, particular. yet no longer continuously. there have been religions without existence after dying. some Jewish communities around 2000 years in the past did no longer have faith in existence after dying. some Romans believed their Gods have been immortal, yet people have been much less significant and did no longer have an afterlife. in line with possibility Christianity triumphed over them because of the fact it provided a greater desirable deal. The Roman state observed Christianity, and used it as a gadget to maintain people of their place. keep in mind the previous Wobbly's music: === Slog your guts out in this international === And Pie in the Sky once you Die! Nietzsche pronounced that he did no longer think of maximum Christians relatively meant it. He pronounced that people who meant it made the religion their finished existence. They have been so fully dedicated that they rarely theory approximately any destiny existence, getting their advantages now.

The only thing about death that I am afraid of is the affect it would have on my son...OK, pain doesn't sound great either. But the being dead part, I hope to be with God and there is nothing scary about that.

All people fear death, some more then others, it makes no differences what their beliefs are. Often times when you face an all most certain death your fear leaves you and you become calm and ready.

I am not religious but am a person of faith. Most just like myself probably aren't afraid of death, it's just the UNKNOWN of "how" and "when." Having had many NDE's and even one death experience even I am still "afraid" and has to do with what I just explained. The UNKNOWN..............

If we are spiritual people, and are loving and kind, we make a huge impact on those that we come into contact with. It is this loss that I mourn for at the thought of dying. As for death itself, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and I embrace that fully. Thank you for asking.

I am a Christian and am not afraid of death. The process of dying, The pain, and lose of control over my body, is what scares me. I have seen patients in the process of dying go smiling. They have went without fear and with a peace about them. In my experience as a nurse Christians are not scared of death. I work with terminal ill patients which means my patients do not get better.
