Oh, absolutely. There are only two of us, and we should be able to eat fairly cheaply, but every week I go to the grocery store and that weekly total just keeps sliding up and up. I'm about to hit the $150 mark. That's just too much.

that is a huge subject for me. I even have taken those steps: I even have turning my backyard over to a vegetable plot to strengthen my own veg. The last two years of freezes and droughts are the cause. Lots of our foods were wiped out and in some states there is not enough feed for livestock. States such as Tenn. do not have water in the lakes and streams. Many ranchers are having to get rid of their herds.

everything is rising very quickly gas, food everything but something you got to look at is the minimum wage keeps going up too as long as the economy is doing bad minimum wage will go up and so will the prices of everything else.

scientists are making plants with insect repellents in them, and their giving animals growth hormones, and they originally did this to cut prices but, people end up paying more because of the supplies needed, and everyone who handles the food (anywhere from growing to packaging) has to have a salary which causes the prices to rise even more.Learned about it last year in my AG class.I disagree with it all...I mean putting fish genes in tomatoes to make them last longer.....that's sick =(
