Has anyone noticed how prices for everything are rising faster than ever? I know they usually rise steadily anyway, but they seem to be rising more than ever...especially food prices. What`s going on?

Oh, absolutely. There are only two of us, and we should be able to eat fairly cheaply, but every week I go to the grocery store and that weekly total just keeps sliding up and up. I'm about to hit the $150 mark. That's just too much.

that is a huge subject for me. I even have taken those steps: I even have turning my backyard over to a vegetable plot to strengthen my own veg. I even have saved a pair of battery hens for clean eggs i purchase in basic terms what i desire. i won't be in a position to pass away for my summer season holiday I even have became the heating off i don't consume out i don't pass to the pub I walk the place i will My lunch is oftentimes my leftover supper from the previous night. I have been given rid of my petrol automobile and offered an previous diesel, which I run on waste vegetable oil which an area eating place provides me. even with all the above, i'm looking it extremely perplexing to stability the books. Oh! and Ann J, that is a fantasy.. foodstuff expenses are up because of the greater beneficial gasoline expenses on the pump because of the fact OPEC administration the fee of crude.

The last two years of freezes and droughts are the cause. Lots of our foods were wiped out and in some states there is not enough feed for livestock. States such as Tenn. do not have water in the lakes and streams. Many ranchers are having to get rid of their herds.

everything is rising very quickly gas, food everything but something you got to look at is the minimum wage keeps going up too as long as the economy is doing bad minimum wage will go up and so will the prices of everything else.

scientists are making plants with insect repellents in them, and their giving animals growth hormones, and they originally did this to cut prices but, people end up paying more because of the supplies needed, and everyone who handles the food (anywhere from growing to packaging) has to have a salary which causes the prices to rise even more.Learned about it last year in my AG class.I disagree with it all...I mean putting fish genes in tomatoes to make them last longer.....that's sick =(

Prices are risin' cuz there is alot going on in the world right now, causing disruption and change...gas prices are insane right now.

Oil/gas prices. Transportation costs. Packaging (plastics) is also made from petroleum.
