I'm afraid there is not much you can do as most states are 'right to work states', meaning they can fire you for any reason. The best thing you can do is go to your nearest Unemployment Office and begin collecting unemployment insurance until you can find a new job. Good luck.

The first thing you have to do is appeal the dismissal with your former employer - they have to give you the right to appeal under statutory procedures. Be quick though as they may have a time limit on appealing.
You will have to put a case together as to why you feel you have been unfairly dismissed, including as much evidence as possible, with witnesses, if any.
If after this they uphold the dismissal, then as long as you have one year's service or more you should get advice about whether you have a good claim for unfair dismissal and whether it is worth taking your former employer to employment tribunal. CAB and ACAS can both advise how to do this.
