God Himself said that He would not have any other gods before Him.

Man make gods but God made the earth and everything that dwell in it. He will not share us with anyone else. We have our time to do what we want but ultimately it points back to our Creator!
Romans 9:20 - Nay but, O man, who art thou that reply against God? Shall the thing formed say to Him that formed him, Why have you made me like this?

Hi friend. That statement is somewhat misleading. Like many other Christian denominations (specifically the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic branches of Christianity), Mormons do believe in "theosis," the idea that man can progress to become more like God. Historically, this concept was had among the earliest Christians.

Mormons believe in the Bible, which teaches: "To him that overcometh will I [Christ] grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." So we believe that we can become like God through the power of Christ, but not that we will ever be greater than God. We will always worship God the Father and Christ the Son. To use traditional Christian terminology (and not terminology that only Mormons understand), it would probably be more accurate to say that Mormons believe they can become angels in the next life (although that phrasing doesn't exactly capture Mormon belief either, and is explicitly inaccurate if one uses the Mormon definition of "angel"). It is not true that Mormons believe men and women can progress to become equal to God. We will always worship God.

First of all, no man can become God. Period

Christ counsels us many times that we must strive to be like Him, and that there are eternal rewards for those who do so.

2 major beliefs:
-The things Christians do to spread Christ's love mean something to the Lord and that those who endure until the end will be rewarded in Heaven with levels of exaltation IN ADDITION TO salvation. Pentecostal and Baptist scholars refer to these titles as 'crowns'. See 1 Cor. 15:40-42 and 2 Cor. 12:2
-Eternal progression, meaning that we do not stop growth after physical death. We will continue to learn and grow in our calling of service to God, and we will be rewarded with more capabilities to do what He asks of us.

**All Christians** once believed the same (Eastern Catholics and Orthodox still do), but people attack us on it a heckuva lot more

May I suggest a book to read called, Mormonism and the Temple of Doom written by Bill Schnoebelen who was once a Mormon but then delivered by Christ. He speaks about some pretty dark things that most people don't ever learn. I think you will find the answer to your question in this book. The book is a short read.

The bible, in the old testament there is a scripture that states, ye are gods. We are here to co create with God. The Mormons do teach this and so does the Bible. Gods with little g not the prime creator, God.

The Mormon "Jesus" is believed to have been a mortal man who attained godhood and showed that all men can do the same.

The goal of every Mormon man is to achieve exaltation to godhood. "Apostle" Bruce McConkie states, "That exaltation which the saints of all ages have so devoutly sought is godhood itself."

The "Prophet" Joseph Smith exhorted all Mormon men to strive for this goal. He stated,

"Here then, is eternal life--to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all gods have done before you. . . "

Because they believe God was once a man.He became God through exaltation. Therefore, if we live right they believe we can become a God, too. We are to be Christ like.

Now watch how many more gullible, ignorant and unlearned people join the Mormon religion because that was on the news. That is right up society's alley because most of society live like they are little gods anyway. They are their own pathetic little gods. Well, more people on the broad road to destruction.

You'd have to study their religion. My hubby is an ex-Mormon, but it's too in-depth to go into here. Study the Book of Mormon if you are truly interested.
