Get her to a vet NOW. She's either strained so hard and long that her rectum has prolapsed, or you don't know an anus from a vagina. Either way, your dog needs a VET if it's going to live.

Oh Lordie I sure hope she's going to make it through the birth. Breeding Chihuahua's is not the easiest thing on earth. You need to know everything to expect before you even breed her.
Are you sure it's her anus bulging? I think probably not. chances are YES she's having puppies. No don;t let her go under the bed. You have to stay with her. If a pup gets stuck you have to know what to do or you will lose the pup and probably her too. Most Chihuahua's end up needing a c-section. You have to know what to expect. You stay with her and God willing you will know what to do if something goes wrong which chances are it might with this breed. You need to at least call your vet right away to get all the advice you can.
Good luck. Now get off the computer and go and tend your whelping dam and make that call.

Her anus? That could be a sign of excessive straining, or a prolapse. Call the vet immediately. If you mean her vagina, then yes, she's beginning to whelp. Do you have a vet on call? Chihuahua pups have large head-to-body ratios, and frequently get caught in the birth canal because of this. Many Chis need caesarians to deliver their pups, especially with a first litter. Make sure that if you don't know what you're doing here, you have a vet on hand, or somebody around who does.

You are aware that puppies do NOT come out of the anus, right? If there is something going on with the anus, you REALLY should see a vet ASAP!!!!

YES! Chihuahuas have a great deal of difficulty with birth. If she seems at all afraid, take her to an emergency vet right away so the birth doesn't kill her. Good luck to you.

If anything is poking out of the dog's anus, it may be prolapsing its intestines. See a Vet. now.
