Do people know that being a redneck isn't a choice it is a culture we are born into.?

People should stop condemning rednecks and taking our culture and making it a joke. I was born into the redneck culture. If you ever made friends with a redneck a real one not some fat *** that likes fart jokes. You would learn that we care about the land we can grow are own food we can hunt we can catch fish out of a mud whole. Our culture revolves around farming hunting fishing family and love also the rebel flag represents us it doesnt represent hate for blacks it represents redneck culture. The word redneck came because of our necks who knew look at a farmers neck in the south it aint white like a cityboy baby its red. my necks red and so is my blood. Is this what you say my culture is?

I'm not a redneck but I think you are perfectly entitled to be proud of who you are, without having to apologize to elitists and snobs.

Everyone suffers from some sort of bias and perceptions that are unfair; the problem being a redneck, your group isn't one of the chosen "groups", selected by liberals & the liberal media, to be given special treatment.

Be who you are, don't apologize & those who can't handle it can kiss your a$$!

Actually the name redneck came from the miners of virginia and that area, during very violent strikes the union men would tie red bandanas around thier neck to distinguish them from the union busters hence the name redneck

I just saw on the History Channel 2 days ago that the term red neck originated in the hills of West Virginia. It started because some people who worked in the coal mines wanted to become unionized. So to differentiate who wanted to be union and who didn't, they would put a red bandana around there neck which is where the term red neck originated from.
