Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Master and not for men,
the President should do his job well, if his job is to lead/help the american people then he should do it as well as he can.

No, Jesus was never wrong.
As for your question, you seem to have changed the word wealth into the people of the country. First, Jesus was warning people about letting the pursuit of money and material goods be the prime reason for living. Later in the passage you would read that Jesus said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God . . ." and so forth.
Second, we need to remember that many of America's founding fathers were Christians, and many of the first Presidents were too. They had the privilege of serving God and their country. We were blessed to have good and godly men serving our nation in those days (these days too!)
Finally, it's up to us which choice we will make--serve God, or serve money. WE can't serve both. I hope we all make the right choice.

Jesus IS NEVER WRONG. If the President serves God ,with all his heart, then he will be serving the American people. He will be doing what is right before God and that will help ua more than anything else.

He is absolutely right you have to love something to truly devote yourself and serve it.So if you love God then your will humbly and wilfully serve.Money will only be to you another tool you use to help declare the truth.God didn't say money was the root of all evil,He said "the love of money is the root of all evil".So you have many that are rich and yet they serve God.So wherever your love abides there also will your service be found.

I don't believe Jesus as described in the New Testament existed. No one in his day spoke of him. Only many years later was a lot of stuff made up about him.

I think that there is not enough evidence to trust that the Gospels are actually his words, especially given that they were written around 70 years after his death.

No, he was not wrong. WE are wrong when we try to interpret and apply to our complicated society everything he said two thousand years ago.
