Buy a crock pot at Walmart, Target, K-Mart, supermarkets, etc. Ask a clerk to help you pick one out.
The meat goes into the pot in the morning and cooks all day long. Your meal is ready for you at supper time. Follow the direction in the booklet that comes with the pot. Here are some recipes for you:

If you like pasta, Fetticene Boscaiola is great.
Boil Instant fetticene pasta, then grab a good frypan.
Add:-
Oil spray pan 1st (olive or canola oil)
2 heaped tablespoons garlic (jar variety ok)
6 shallots chopped (or 1 onion)
4 lean bacon rashes chopped
1 zuchini chopped
Saute on medium heat for about 3 mins then add 5-6 flat mushrooms or approx 10 button mushrooms
add a splash of olive oil
Cook all ingredients uncovered until mushrooms soften
Lastly throw in about a cup of low fat cream (whole of small containers worth)
stir
serve over cooked fetticene pasta with crusty bread, garnish with fresh parmesan and Italian parsely. EASY, CHEAP, FAST, DELISH!

This is a reasonably cheap and easy pork chop dish. (At least around here, the stores have been selling boneless pork chops at $1.99/# regularly).

Brown 4 - 6 pork chops on both sides; season with salt, pepper, paprika and caraway seed after turning. Transfer to baking dish or casserole.

Add one diced onion and 1 to 1 1/2 cups frozen peas. Cover with one undiluted can of condensed tomato soup. Bake covered in 325 to 350 F oven for about 45 minutes.

Serve with baked, boiled or mashed potatoes or buttered noodles. Use sauce with peas like a gravy. Don't forget the applesauce for with the pork!

At the store look for Hamburger Helper Enchilada, and cook according to package.

Meanwhile warm tacos or burritos in oven.
Use the Enchilada mixture to fill the burritos or tacos. It is good just like that or you can add extras that you like, black olives, shredded cheese and lettuce, diced onions, tomatoes, even some taco sauce if you want. Try it, I think you will like it!

Look for bargains, and buy stuff at the 99 cent store as much as you can. A recent meal for me.

1 bag salad greens ($1.00)
1 bottle salad dressing ($1.00)
1 container sliced mushrooms ($1.00)
1 container tomatoes ($1.00)
1 28 ounce can baked beans ($1.00)
1 bottle BBQ sauce ($1.00)
8 country style pork ribs ($4.62, on sale)

Put BBQ sauce and ribs in crock pot; cook for 6-8 hours.
wash and slice tomatoes or substitute cherry tomatoes.
wash mushrooms
combine bag of salad greens, tomatoes, and mushroom.
microwave beans.

For four people:

serve 2 ribs per person, with 7 ounces of baked beans and salad to each person. Use BBQ sauce from ribs to flavor beans.

Total cost of ingredients. $10.62. Cost per person; $2.66 cents. Time to prepare. 10 minutes.

Throw in a bottle of so of 99 cent store soda and you've got drinks as well, and are still under $3.00 a person and still barely spent any time actually doing anything. The biggest chore is washing the vegetables for the salad.

season some chicken breasts or pork chops.

slice a potato for each person. put it in a casserole dish. Top with the chicken and some cream of celery or cream of chicken soup and milk and bake. I think it's on the campbell's can now.

I love Refried Potatoes.

All you do is clean a couple of potatoes, bake them until they are done, and then fry them in a frying pan with olive oil until they are cooked to taste.

Try them, they're delicious, my family eats them up.
