Best plein air backpack?

I want to get my Mom a plein-air backpack for Christmas, but I'm not sure which one would be best on her back. The Spunky Monkey looks great, but is a little out of my price range.

Ideally, I would like to get one that can hold either her French easel or M Box and tripod, and has a waist strap.

Any help and/or reviews (even negative ones) would be much appreciated.

Ideally your mom needs to go for a 'fitting'. Not everybody is build the same or finds the same backpack as comfortable. Lack of comfort is the main reason for disapproving a backpack.

You could give her a certificate for a day out to get that backpack. Nice high tea, all cultural and stuff and as the highlight buy the backpack. :)
