i see alot of people here conveniently comment that pornography is fine and even healthy.
for those who say pornography is fine...would you....allow your kids, loved ones, to indulge in it and maybe allow them to be in the porn industry??

For those who say "if they are adults then it is alright"
So if your children are grown-ups and they decide to join the porn industry, you will just say "ok just go, its your choice and as long as you arehappy!"????

Parents here,
If you think you cannot stop your children from doing something so evil, what kind of good parents are you?
I love my kids, and i will stop them TO MY VERY BEST EFFORT from doing something so evil.
Parents learn one owrd - AUTHORITY.
you have AUTHORITY over your children. exercise it with love and care and they will listen to you. practice what you believe. if you think porn is evil, keep them out of it! why allow their generation to suffer from it when your generation did not need porn at all!

you say its alright. then its alright. if its alright, why don't you join it? if its alright, would you love to see a loved one on a porn video?
you are aware of the social ills and you talk as if it is alright.

I would not mind as long as consensual, safe sex is used.
(BTW, that means "kids" who are of adult age).

Of course not my kids! Pornography is for adults ONLY.
Yeah, I know my husband has watched porn. My husband and I have watched porn together. As long as it doesn't affect our sex life negatively or become an addiction, I don't see the harm.
No, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with my husband being a porn star. Even though I'm sure there are many women out there who would appreciate it, lol. I don't think that either one of us would be okay with each other sleeping with someone else. That doesn't mean that I look down on anyone who has chosen to join the pornography industry.
And by the way -- if you are talking about adult children -- they make their own choices. If that's the path they want for their life, and they are over 18, it won't be my place to "let" them do anything.

1. I would not expressly allow or permit my children to view pornography, but, if they happened to get some themselves, I am not one to invade their privacy, and if there desire is that strong, I view at as preferrable to actually engaging in sex at that age (though it is still admittedly disturbing...)
2. I would hope that I would raise children with more self-respect than that, and would make my disappointment known. But, I also would not forbid my children from enterring the porn industry if they were legally adults, since, really, trying to do so would be futile, and would only make it seem like forbidden fruit to them, thus increasing their desire to do it.
3. There are problems with pornography, and addiction to anything is never a good thing. Yet, if the people participating were completely willing, and perhaps even eager to be in it, and if the viewer is not going to get obsessed with it , then it is not necessarily a bad thing.

That's not for me to say, is it? I can't allow anyone to do anything. Kids, no, but adult loved ones aren't controlled by me.
If I could control what people did, rap would not exist and people would speak proper English.
"So if your children are grown-ups and they decide to join the porn industry, you will just say "ok just go, its your choice and as long as you arehappy!"????"
Yep. Or is free will too difficult a concept for you to understand?

So embarrassment is the defining authority for evil now? People get nauseated by the idea that their parents have sex. Does that mean they shouldn't have sex? The embarrassment problem is a result of centuries of Christian mysogyny and prudery about the human body. They think the Gnostics lost the religious wars yet they cling to one of the most central Gnostic doctrines, that "flesh" is "dirty".
Porn has its problems. Consumers can lose objectivity about other people. People in the industry can abuse and become abused. But this is all because Christians force it underground. If Christians weren't so terrified of sex, people would have a much healthier attitude about it, and erotica would be just another kind of literature.

Of course. There is nothing wrong with looking at porn. There is nothing inherently wrong with being in porn. If my kids wanted to be in porn, as long as it made them happy I wouldn't mind too much. I'd only mind if my partner was in it because I would get jealous, not because of any particular objection to the industry.

Pornography is for adults. If one is an adult, and likes pornography, it's fine.Kids are not allowed to indulge in pornography! Any adult who likes to be in the porn industry as long as he/she is happy with it, whether he/she is your loved one or not should be allowed to do what ever is his choice! People should not be deprieved of their choice in life as long as it gives them satisfaction and fulfilment!

The sad thing is that they would..check out this question that was asked and answered by a young man. it is about a young friend who saw his mother on a porn site.
I can see that most here do not understand the extreme consequences of allowing our society to go this direction and what it is doing to our society as a whole..

I agree with Keyring OS. It may not be what I would want for my adult children, but it is not my decision to make. Yes, I would want them to be happy. Why are you so aggressive with this issue and the people answering your question?
