It is a sad thing. We have killed almost 50,000,000 babies since Roe vs. Wade. That is more people (who could have had futures. Could have been the next Einstein, Bill Gates, etc etc) than were killed in all of the wars ever fought put together. Take a look inside an abortion death camp. http://jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Abortion%20is%20Murder/death_camp.htm
Why do we continue to condone such evil? Our mothers chose to let US live, so why do we deny others the right to live?

Diary of an Unborn Child
OCTOBER 5:
Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet, but it is I already. And I am to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled though, even the fact that I shall love flowers.
OCTOBER 19:
Some say that I am not a real person yet, that only my mother exists. But I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is yet truly bread. My mother is. And I am.
OCTOBER 23:
My mouth is just beginning to open now. Just think, in a year or so I shall be laughing and later talking. I know what my first word will be: MAMA.
OCTOBER 25:
My heart began to beat today all by itself. From now on it shall gently beat for the rest of my life without ever stopping to rest! And after many years it will tire. It will stop, and then I shall die.
NOVEMBER 2:
I am growing a bit every day. My arms and legs are beginning to take shape. But I have to wait a long time yet before those little legs will raise me to my mother’s arms, before these little arms will be able to gather flowers and embrace my father.
NOVEMBER 12:
Tiny fingers are beginning to form on my hands. Funny how small they are! I’ll be able to stroke my mother’s hair with them.
NOVEMBER 20:
It wasn’t until today that the doctor told mom that I am living here under her heart. Oh, how happy she must be! Are you happy, mom?
NOVEMBER 25:
My mom and dad are probably thinking about a name for me. But they don’t even know that I am a little girl. I want to be called Kathy. I am getting so big already.
DECEMBER 10:
My hair is growing. It is smooth and bright and shiny. I wonder what kind of hair mom has?
DECEMBER 13:
I am just about able to see. It is dark around me. When mom brings me into the world it will be full of sunshine and flowers. But what I want more than anything is to see my mom. How do you look, mom?
DECEMBER 24:
I wonder if mom hears the whispering of my heart? Some children come into the world a little sick. But my heart is strong and healthy. It beats so evenly: tup-tup, tup-tup. You’ll have a healthy little daughter, mom!
DECEMBER 28:
Today my mother killed me.

For those who think that they are fetuses only and not babies- a heart is beating- and what is one thing that signifies life- a beating heart. - at 3 weeks after conception. 4,000 babies a day are aborted in USA alone- and this is not just statistics on a Christian website- you can find that anywhere- and did you know that less than 2% of abortions done are in rape and for the health of the mother? Until they finally stop it - you could have an abortion up until the day that your baby was delivered- so just days before the baby would be due to be born- you could abort- so for those who are saying it is not a baby- WHEN DOES IT BECOME A BABY. This subject does get me going, for a few reasons- one because it is legalized murder, and also I could have been aborted- my mother gave me life and placed me for adoption- and my 2 children are adopted- if our moms had chosen abortion for us- we would have been one of the 50,000,000 babies that were not given a chance to live. AMEN- keep talking the truth, maybe one day people will see the light.
INFINITY- so it is better to take the life of a child, then find a way to care for it- either yourself or through adoption? NOT A BABY UNTIL IT IS BORN? you have got to be kidding????

Ok, I take a certain stand with this, and I stand by it 110% regardless of what you think. I'm not against or for abortion for some reasons. One: If you have unprotected intercourse and you end up pregnant, you should raise the child regardless, but if you're a rape victim and you're 100% sure you cannot possibly love this child and will more then likely let it starve and die slowly, just get it over with before it has to suffer.
Now, as far as the whole abortion thing goes, I do not understand something about this, from the time of conception the egg now becomes an embryo, after a few weeks it becomes a fetus, both of which are living. Isn't the egg then a living organism too? And according to religion we are not supposed to kill, so are you saying any woman whose had more then one period is a serial killer?
And by the way, that 50 million is just shy of the amount that died in the Crusades, so its not more than all the wars combined.

because ignorant people who don't relize that what they are doing is murder, choose to kill as a birth control and make others suffer for their mistakes. it is wrong, murder, and a terrible evil.
My ex's mom had had 6 abortions. My view on it was one of the reasons we broke up (he was perfectly fine with it- even though if she had known about him before she was pretty far along she would have killed him too)
I think that this is the worst kind of murder, because these children have no voice. I was born while my mom was in law school. She could have aborted me, but, like me, is devout Catholic, and made the right choice. The fact that murder of an already born person can be prosicuted, but that of an un-born child is condoned by the state makes me SICK. I know a guy, who I am pretty good friends with, who got his gf pregnant. She got an abortion, and told him later. He never had a say, and was heartbroken afterwards. He was, however, able to get ahold of the body, and the child is now buried at my chuch grave yard, and my friend has not dated since (he left her after he found out)
I think that this is sickening, and what makes me even sicker is that causing a pregnant woman to miscarry, or killing a pregnant woman is murder and a double murder, but the government allows babies to be killed daily. I have participated in church rallies, ec etc against this evil prectice, and will do everything in my power to see it become a crime. And may all abortionists roast in Hell for eternity, because they know EXACTLY what they are doing, and do it anyways.
EDIT: And I could care less how many thumbs down I get.

I think abortions are wrong...I personally would never get one. But, mothers who are drug addicts pretty much set a child up for failure. I think that that also is unfair. There is adoption, yes but there are so many children in the system already and most likley they will stay in the system until they are adults. Ask any foster child if they enjoy being there and I can assure you they don't. And last of all you should remember that sometime despite using birth control correctly and using condoms you CAN get pregnant! Is it likley? No. Is it possible? Yes.

The reason is still the same as it was when people sacrificed their children to Molech:
Lev 18:21
21 "'Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
(from New International Version)
Jer 32:35
35 They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.
(from New International Version)
The reason they sacrificed (and still sacrifice) is for a "better" life in the most selfish of terms. They want to enjoy the pleasures and the favor of the world. And children get in the way and take up too much time and riches.

Not to sound cold-hearted or anything, because I'm not very supportive of abortions, but the vast majority of people who get abortions are not interested in raising the child (hence the abortion). In the past, the majority of mothers who got abortions were single, teenage women who would not be good parents. Remember that even when abortions were illegal wealthy women could still easily get them. So for the most part, the law only affects the poor and teenage girls. A large portion of these children would grow up in families that are not conducive to moral behavior. You paint a nice picture of killing Einsteins and so on, but in reality far more of the aborted fetuses would be criminals.
Yes that was cold-hearted.

Because so much of our society is evil and selfish.
99% of abortions are done for reasons of birth control, period.
This ought to be a major factor every time we walk into a polling place.
If we fail to elect pro life people to office then its our own fault.

Because human beings are selfish creatures.
Also, sometimes girls are forced into the decision by parents who don't want to deal with a pregnant teenager.
There are also times when people just don't see another option because they are homeless, or in an abusive relationship.
As Christians we should be fighting the evil both legally AND by providing options and help for those who choose not to abort. And I don't mean just help until the baby is born, I mean on-going help until the mom is on her feet, with an education and a job.
EDIT---EDIT---EDIT
To those who claim its just a mass of cells, according to the very "popular" theory of evolution, so are adults. Does that make it okay for all of us to start killing each other?
Of course, I don't believe that theory, and to me humans are not just cells, but my question goes out to all those who do think so.

Abortion is just another way to spell murder. Yes, I am a Christian, and proud to be one. You people who say it is o k to kill the babies, for whatever reason, will one day stand before God. You can come up with all kinds of excuses, and call Christians what ever you want, but when you are standing before God, and you will, you will know then that your murders have cought up with you.
