ok, well i just found it kind of funny, you dont really see this all the time...

Frankly I found it kind of disturbing. I thought the "hits" on both cats and especially when the paddles were used were too hard.
The cats seemed to like it. One spanking was being given in an animal shelter (I heard dogs barking in the background).
My concern would be that the spanking was right over the cat's kidneys and I would think it could be damaging if it were an habitual thing. I wonder how a vet would react to it?

I assume it probably feels pretty good, a lot like the 'smacking' of a massage for some people. Although, it sounded like he was hittin' the cat rather hard, but obviously the cat wasn't upset, so I suppose it just depends on the cat.

If you cup your hand and 'pop' it up and down on your thigh, that's how it feels to the cat, it's more a massage feel than hitting. The cat likes it, the owner knows the cat's body language and knows it's ok to share with the cat, so no harm.

Maybe the cat has fleas and ticks or something, and the patting is providing relief.
