Would increasing the amount of pressure used in a chamber for producing a material such as gas cause any?

Increasing the pressure on a chamber always increases the probability of leaks or rupture. Some gas-producing reactions may be pressure sensitive, and you could experience lower yields. Increasing pressure on a process almost invariably increases electrical or fuel costs.
