Its because people are greedy. Why should they pay a U.S. Citizen 15 dollars an hour when they can pay an illegal 5. The illegal will never complain about working conditions, hours, and unionization because that 5 dollars an hour is probably more than what they would make in a day back in their home country. Simple economics.

It's because they're cheap labor. And they don't all work so hard, half of them only speak two words of English. And the are not being 'exploited'. Businesses try to get the most they can for the least amount of money. Who wouldn't? Nobody is forcing them to work at these jobs for a lot less money. They are willing, so they get hired. And they shouldn't even be here in the first place, they are ILLEGAL. They broke the law, they are criminals. Stop feeling sorry for them, enough with this victim sh*t!!!!

Because minimum wage doesn't apply to them. Personally i think everyone should be against ILLEGAL immigration just for the fact that they're abused so much and never have a chance to leave poverty with employers getting away with paying just dollars a day. Immigrants here legally at least don't have to worry about that. System needs to be fixed before problem ever disappears and more illegals are basically enslaved by employers looking to save money.

Illegals work for cheap, have a lower standard of life and don't need to earn as much since they illegally pack 15 members of a family into a 2 bedroom house and get to collect welfare, food stamps and get free education to supplement their income.
Fortunately, I work for a company that still has respect and only hires legal citizens.

Because illegals will do the work. US citizens will not and will collect welfare and other gov't assistance. If we put all welfare recipients to work, would we need illegals to do these jobs?

I HAVE AN EXAMPLE : in a city in texas lets say hmmm houston a houskeeping co. pays lets say an immigrant 7.00 and was asked why he couldnt lets say pay an american to do the same job but 15.00 because we all know an american will not scrub toilets pick up trash for 7.00 they couldnt pay because he would have to pass the price increase to the renters which in turn will go to some other city were the rent is cheaper so its all about staying competitive

Obviously employers want to pay as little as possible..go figure..
US has a legal minimum wage per hour that some illegals could only earn in a day or more..at home.
