What if went from christian to Atheist. Does it matter? Atheist to Jewish? Jewish to Catholic? Muslim to Latvian Orthodox?

True Love can overcome everything...
religion shoulden't matter when you love the person with all your heart...
so if my boyfreind changed religous beliefs i woulden't mind....I would support his decision...
:]

It would really depend on how drastic the change was...christianity to atheist is a big difference. He may not ever expect me to change my beliefs but in the end his beliefs WOULD effect my faith and beliefs as well. Becoming a devil worshipper would be majorly break up worthy. I believe a lot of older, more traditional jewish families like for their kids to be with and marry other jewish kids as well, so that would probably be a problem.

As a Christian, if I was seriously invested in a guy (as in I saw marriage as a possibility someday) I would most likely break up with him if he became an antheist/turned from Christianity. Of course, I'd still love him--its not that I'd be angry--but living with and understanding me is based largely on religion. I want to be with someone who doesn't mind me praying every night and who can talk with me about spiritual matters. But I must repeat that I'd still love him and it'd hurt me immensely.

I really couldn't care less about someone's religion. I'm a Catholic, but I plan on becoming an atheist soon. I don't agree with the Catholic Church at all, and I can't deal with them anymore! So if my boyfriend decided to change his religion while we were going out, I wouldn't mind. Whatever makes him happy makes me happy.

Well each person is different. But as for me, we must be on the same page religiously. It MATTERS. Two can not walk together unless they agree.

i wouldn't see why that would matter.... its the person you love, not their spiritual beliefs.
every person is entitled to changing their mind right?

I would like to think I would be okay with it, as long as he didn't expect me to change my beliefs along with him.
